It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas! With our local Christmas tree switch-on taking place later this week, it’s definitely starting to feel festive around here and I’m beginning to get into the Christmas spirit – and that includes thinking about decorating for the festive season.

Now is the perfect time to pick up your crochet hook and start making some lovely decorations for the tree. Whether you enjoy creating traditional Christmas ornaments, cute little characters or something a little but different, there’s nothing quite like adding handmade touches to your festive celebrations.
I’m delighted to be taking part once again in the Christmas Ornament Keepsake Blog Hop, hosted by Stardust Gold Crochet. This fun event brings together a lovely collection of crochet designers each sharing a beautiful Christmas ornament pattern for you to enjoy.
This year there are 15 free Crochet Christmas Ornament patterns up for grabs with a lovely selection of different festive designs to inspire your Christmas crafting.
Handmade Christmas Keepsakes
I absolutely love adding handmade decorations to my Christmas tree and I think crochet ornaments are particularly special. They’re lovely little projects to work on in the run-up to Christmas and make wonderful keepsakes that you can bring out and enjoy year after year. They’re also perfect for using up those little scraps of yarn hiding in your stash.
From traditional Christmas designs to fun and quirky little creations, this blog hop is a lovely opportunity to discover new designers and try something different.
