Howdy lovelies, I thought I’d share with you the brand new crochet kit that’s hit my Etsy shop today. If you follow me on Instagram then you may have already seen a sneak peep – allow me to introduce Bunty the Bear!
Pin It for Later:
Much like my other crochet kits this one was also released at the latest weekend Crochet Sanctuary where I was kindly allowed to bring a pop up shop to share, with the other guests, a range of my KCACOUK, Yarnybobs and Dear Ewe products.
Bunty the Bear is a delightful fellow who has his bunting ready for your celebration of choice. Add words to the mini flags to personalise your bear, or leave them plain, either way he’s cheering you on!
❤️ Add the Bunty the Bear Crochet Kit to your favourites on Ravelry ❤️
Each kit contains everything you need to make Bunty the Bear including the pattern and the following items in a drawstring reusable organza bag;
1 ball of 50g Hazelnut (Shade 503) – YARN A
1 ball of 10g Old Lace (Shade 130) – YARN B
1 ball of 10g Tropic (Shade 253) – YARN C
1 ball of 10g Jet Black (Shade 110) – YARN D
2 x 6mm black safety eyes
30g of toy stuffing
Small amount of string for the bunting
There’s an optional extra of purchasing a premium bamboo 3mm or aluminium hook (US approx. size D/3) if you don’t have one of those to hand, and also a metal ‘spike’, with a base, that you can use to support your bear in a standing position.
The pattern is written in UK terms, but shipping is available to anywhere. If you are not sure about UK terms then you might find my blog post British vs. American Crochet Terms: What’s the Difference? helpful.
And for the first time, following customer feedback, I’m also selling just the pattern so you can use your own stash. The 5 page pattern comes in either UK or US terms with full descriptions of any stitch abbreviations. This is classed as an “intermediate” crochet pattern. Intermediate skills refer, in this case, to the ability to read a pattern, follow special stitch instructions and includes increases and decreases.
The pattern is now available from my usual pattern stores for you to make your own version. Click on the buttons below to go to your favourite pattern platform:
Bunty would make a great keepsake gift for birthdays, father’s day, or any celebration you wish – a bit of bunting always completes the party!
If you make up a Bunty the Bear I hope you’ll share your WIP and finished project photos with me on social media (facebook, twitter or instagram) or as a project on Ravelry – I love to see what you make! And finally you may wish to sign up to blog (below) and / or my mailing list to get a reminder when new blog posts, discounts or new pattern releases are available.
Until next time folks! Happy hooking and keep calm and crochet on my friends xx
