Exploring Creativity with the Making Stitches Podcast

As I settled down into my favourite armchair with a cup of steaming tea, I turned with a little trepidation to the latest episode of Making Stitches Podcast…because it was an interview with me!

Hosted by the talented Lindsay, Making Stitches Podcast has become a staple in my listening line-up – a lovely sanctuary where creativity flourishes and crafty stories unfold.

Each episode is a testament to the power of storytelling, offering listeners a glimpse into the lives and passions of crafters from around the world. From knitting and crochet, to embroidery and quilting, Lindsay’s guests represent a diverse tapestry of creativity, united by their shared love for making.

I was therefore delighted to be asked to join Lindsay on Episode 70, where I had the pleasure of sharing my own journey into the world of crochet. Through my platforms, blogging and social media I’ve had the privilege of connecting with many lovely fellow crafters and shared in the joy of creating.

The crochet community is wonderful. Crochet is such a massive part of who I am now, and through that I’ve made such fabulous friendships…I definitely feel as if I’ve found my tribe!

As I listened (with only a bit of inner cringing) to my own story unfold, I’m filled with a sense of gratitude, for Lindsay’s dedication to sharing these stories, for the opportunity to connect with listeners around the world, and for the vibrant community of makers that continues to inspire and uplift me.

The whole chat is 26 minutes long, so the perfect length to enjoy a cuppa and maybe enjoy a bit of hooking as you listen along.

Something very different for me today! I’m usually the interviewer but this time I’m the interviewee! I had the opportunity to speak to the lovely Kate Heppell from The Crochet Society.
