Celebrate the Season with Christmas Amigurumi Bookazine

Hello my lovelies! Iโ€™m so thrilled to share my latest pattern releases with you. As the nights grow longer and the festive season starts to shimmer, thereโ€™s nothing quite as cosy and joyful as crocheting a few holiday characters.

A collection of festive crocheted characters, including Santa, Mrs. Claus, a snowman, an elf, a reindeer, and a gingerbread man, arranged around a Christmas-themed book titled 'Christmas Amigurumi' with a decorative evergreen background.

Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m delighted to announce the brand-new Christmas Amigurumi Bookazine from Crochet Society. Inside, youโ€™ll discover eight of my patterns nestled among a collection of wonderfully festive designs โ€” and six of them are completely new, never-before-seen seasonal favourites!

First up – we couldnโ€™t possibly have a Christmas book without the iconic duo themselves: Santa and Mrs Claus! These two bring all the cosy, classic festive charm we adore. Santa is ready for his Christmas Eve adventures in his traditional red suit, complete with a jolly smile and fluffy beard, while Mrs Claus adds a dash of homely warmth with her sweet apron, kind smile, and her signature glasses perched on her nose. Whether you display them together on the mantelpiece or let them take pride of place by the tree, this cheerful pair is sure to fill your home with holiday spirit and handmade magic.

Next up, we have a couple of Santaโ€™s most dedicated helpers โ€” Tinsel the Head Elf and Dasher the Reindeer! Tinsel is full of festive energy, always busy in the workshop making sure every toy is ready for Christmas Eve. With his cheerful grin, pointy hat, and a sprinkle of sparkling mischief, he brings playful fun to the season. And where would Santa be without his reindeer? This adorable little reindeer is bursting with excitement, proudly practicing for the big night and ready to help guide the sleigh. Together, this charming pair brings teamwork, giggles, and a whole lot of Christmas magic to your crochet collection!

Finally, we have a couple of cheerful festive chaps: Crispin the Snowman and Cinnamon the Gingerbreadman! Crispin is full of wintry charm, with his carrot nose, cozy scarf, and cheerful smile โ€” the perfect companion for snowy days or a playful touch on your mantel. Cinnamon, on the other hand, brings a sweet and spiced touch to your festive dรฉcor, with his jolly expression and delightful gingerbread details that make him impossible not to love. Together, these two add warmth, whimsy, and a sprinkle of holiday cheer to your crochet collection.

๐Ÿ“˜ Whatโ€™s else is inside the bookazine?

In addition to those six patterns, the bookazine features a selection of other festive designs, including a couple more of mine, such as:

One of the best things about this bookazine is just how premium it feels. Itโ€™s beautifully thick, more like a proper book than a magazine, yet still flexible, without a hard cover. Sized around A4, itโ€™s easy to read and handle while youโ€™re crocheting, and with 111 pages of festive patterns, tips, and inspiration, thereโ€™s plenty to keep you busy all season long. It really feels like a special keepsake youโ€™ll want to return to year after year.

All the patterns are written in UK terms, if you are not sure about UK terms then you might find my blog postย British vs. American Crochet Terms: Whatโ€™s the Difference?ย helpful.

๐Ÿ“ Where to Get Your Copy

Exciting news – Iโ€™ve got a small stash of the Christmas Amigurumi Bookazine that Iโ€™ll be bringing along to pop-ups and craft shows for the rest of this year and into next! If youโ€™d like to grab a copy in person, this is the perfect opportunity to pick one up, chat about the patterns, and maybe even get a few tips straight from me. I canโ€™t wait to see some of you at the shows and share the festive crochet fun in person!

Or you can purchase the book online from The Crochet Society website. The book is priced at just ยฃ9.99 / $13.28 โ€” thatโ€™s roughly ยฃ0.52 / $0.69 per pattern, making it a real bargain! You can purchase your copy directly via the link below. The books are usually delivered within 2-5 working days so order yours now if you want it in time for Christmas.

For each of the bears I used Crochet Societyโ€™s Cuddly Craft DK which I’ve used a few times now for different projects. Crochet Society | Peanuts Crochet Collection

Hello my lovelies,

I’m beyond thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. I’ve had the absolute joy of collaborating with the wonderful team at Crochet Society to bring you a delightful new collection that combines two of my greatest loves: crochet and the timeless charm of the Peanuts gang!

A crochet collection featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Woodstock plush toys alongside a themed keepsake box.
ยฉย 2025 Practical Publishing โ€“ Crochet Society Peanuts Collection

You may remember that I had the pleasure of designing a couple of Peanuts-inspired patterns for Crochet Now magazine, including an adorable pair of Snoopy and Woodstock loveys, as well as a Halloween-themed Snoopy. So, I was absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to revisit these beloved characters again – this time with the exciting addition of Charlie Brown!

Meet the Peanuts Collection

To celebrate 75 years of Peanuts, Crochet Society has brought the gang together for a crochet collection full of heart and a little bit of mischief.ย  This special collection is a heartfelt tribute to the beloved characters created by Charles M. Schulz. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the world of Peanuts, these kits are designed to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your crochet sessions.

This was my first time using Crochet Societyโ€™s Cuddly Craft DKโ€”a 100% polyester chenille yarn (100g / 220m) and I have to say, it was a real pleasure to work with. Itโ€™s super soft, of course, but what I really appreciated was that, unlike some other chenille yarns, you can still make out your stitches – that makes it one of the easier chenille’s to crochet with.

Crochet Society Box 35 | Argon Triangular Scarf

I’m really excited to share with you today one of my favourite designs of recent times! In the latest Crochet Society Box (No. 35) I’ve got a brand new triangular scarf pattern for you called the Argon Scarf.

ยฉ Crochet Society Box 35 โ€“ April 2022

Box 35 has now officially been unboxed, by the lovely Sarah-Jayne of Bella Coco, which means that the box should now be with subscribers and I can now share with you all the details of the box and the design.

It’s called the Argon Scarf as the theme for this particular box was ‘Neon Lights’ with shades of purple yarn. Argon is actually the gas used in neon signs to produce shades of purple or lavender which just perfectly matched with the yarn that is part of the box.

ยฉ Crochet Society Box 35 โ€“ April 2022

I’ve been having a bit of a love affair of the textures of puff stitches lately, and my idea of using puffs in this design was represent pops of neon gas.

For this design I used 2 x 100g Bella Coco Yarn which is a DK (8ply / Light weight) yarn that comes in 100g (210m) balls and is a really soft. The shades that I got to use were so pretty in their own right that I’m glad they got their own showcase in this half and half design.

I used a 3.25mm hook for this particular design, and I would recommend the use of a row counter and stitch markers to not only mark your first stitches of a row, but to also help keep track of the increase / decrease sides of the scarf – handily you get both a row counter and a stitch marker as an extra gift in your box.

Textured with bright splashes of colour, the Argon Triangle Scarf, with colour matched tassels, is the perfect way to stand out from the crowd this season!

Crochet Society boxes are available by subscription via the website, and past boxes are available, if there are, from Craftstash – here is the direct link to Box 35 (whilst stocks remain).

As well as my design in this box there are several Tunisian crochet patterns to compliment the Tunisian hook that comes with the box; there is a table runner, a pom pom hat and a faux ‘neon sign’ making up the fab collection of projects.

ยฉ Crochet Society Box 35 โ€“ April 2022
