New Crochet Pattern | Peekaboo Panel Baby Blanket

If you’re looking for a unique baby gift, look no further than my Peekaboo Panel Baby Blanket. This playful design features some perfectly placed offset boxes that offer a fresh, modern twist on a classic filet crochet technique.

Pin for Later:

A cosy crochet baby blanket featuring a peekaboo panel design, laid on a surface with a soft teddy bear placed on top.

Hereโ€™s a quick rundown of what youโ€™ll need for the Peekaboo Panels Filet Crochet Baby Blanket:

  • Your choice of yarn (I recommend soft, baby-friendly yarns like DK weight or lighter).
  • A suitable crochet hook, I used a 4mm (US size G/8)
  • Some stitch markers to help track your filet crochet as you work (optional but useful!)

I used Stylecraft Special DK (Light Worsted), 4 balls in 1001 White and one ball in Sage (1725) or another contrast colour. It’s a wonderfully soft and, most importantly, machine-washable 100% acrylic yarn – ideal for baby blankets. Other alternatives might be Utopia Crafts DK, Emu Classic DK or Scheepjes Colour Crafter DK.

A soft, textured white blanket with a blue border, featuring a plush teddy bear resting on it.

You donโ€™t have to stick to traditional gender colours with this design. Iโ€™ve paired a solid main shade with a contrasting border, which can be customised in any colour you like – classic pink or blue, or softer tones like yellow or sage when youโ€™re keeping things neutral.

This is a slightly more adventurous take on a filet crochet blanket. As long as you stay mindful of the pattern, your offset blocks will fall into place beautifully, but Iโ€™d definitely recommend checking your work as you go to keep your positive and negative spaces aligned.

I designed this pattern with fellow filet crochet lovers in mind (myself included!), and while it asks for a little extra attention, the result is something truly special thatโ€™s well worth the effort. I’ve rated this as an intermediate pattern, but if you are an adventurous beginner that wants to give it a go, or this is the first filet project you are attempting then you might find my blog post Top Tips for Filet Crochetuseful.

A cosy crochet blanket with a geometric pattern in white and turquoise, resting on a beige sofa, accompanied by a soft brown teddy bear.

Although concentration is key if you’re familiar with basic crochet stitches (chains and trebles / US double crochet) you should have no trouble following along to create a blanket you’ll be proud of! In the pattern I’ve included both the written instructions and a helpful chart to guide you through the process.

Bookish Stitches 2026: Februaryโ€™s Book Blanket Progress

Hey lovelies, how are you? Coping with the dreary weather (or is that just me here in the UK?). January somehow felt like the longest month and like it disappeared in a blink – seriously, how are we already in February? But with all the rainy and freezing weather I’ve been looking forward to getting cosy with lots of books as I continue along with my 2026 Crochet Book Blanket project.

A collage featuring book covers and colourful crochet squares, promoting the KCACO.UK Book Blanket progress for February 2026.

Reminder: The Vision for the Book Afghan

To maintain cohesion, Iโ€™ve used the same block pattern for the entire afghan (grab the free pattern here), working with yarn from my stash and selecting 4 colours that reflect and are closest to (as I’m not buying new yarn!) the bookโ€™s cover design.

Hereโ€™s what I accomplished in February 2026:

  • Total Books Read: and Squares Completed: 8 / 16
  • Total New Authors to me this month: 2
  • Running total of new authors so far 4 / 50

Pin for later:

February 2026 Reads and Squares

Book 7: The Many Futures of Maddy Hart by Laura Pearson

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: Synopsis:
The Many Futures of Maddy Hart by Laura Pearson follows Maddy Hart, a woman who is unexpectedly shown glimpses of possible futures. As she navigates love, choices, and consequences, she must decide whether knowing what might happen is a gift or a burden.

Review:
I really enjoyed this book – such an interesting premise paired with great characters. However, the ending felt abrupt, which left me a little disappointed. Iโ€™ve loved everything Laura Pearson has written so far, though, so Iโ€™ll happily continue reading the rest of her work

Cover of 'The Many Futures of Maddy Hart' by Laura Pearson featuring a bright pink design with floral elements, accompanied by a pink and white crochet square and a colour palette of pink shades.

Book 8: Percy Jackson and The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and The Olympians #5) by Rick Riordan

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis:
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan is the thrilling conclusion to Percy Jacksonโ€™s adventures. As the final battle with the Titans looms, Percy and his friends must defend Olympus itself, face impossible odds, and confront their destinies in a story full of heroism, twists, and mythological wonder.

Review:
I really enjoyed this and thought it was the perfect finale to the Percy Jackson series. It throws you straight into the action from the start and was a really fun, fast-paced read.

Book 9: Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry NEW AUTHOR TO ME

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Trigger Warnings:
The book contains themes of s*xual abuse, suicide, and emotional distress that some readers may find upsetting.

Synopsis:
Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry follows a gripping story centered on Noah, whose life becomes entwined with secrets, challenges, and moral dilemmas. As the narrative unfolds, the book explores difficult choices, family dynamics, and the consequences of actions, building to an unexpected and powerful climax.

Review:
This was a new author to me, and it was an intense read. A very thought-provoking exploration of complex themes, itโ€™s well written with a powerful storyline that kept me engaged throughout. I did not see the surprise twist at the end coming, which made the ending all the more impactful.

Graphic featuring the title 'Saving Noah' by Lucinda Berry, labelled as Book 9 with a 4 star rating, and accompanied by a crochet square in teal, grey, and coral colours, along with colour swatches.

Book 10: Lullaby by Leรฏla Slimani NEW AUTHOR TO ME

Synopsis:
Lullaby by Leรฏla Slimani is a psychological thriller that explores the dark complexities of domestic life. The story follows a seemingly idyllic family whose lives spiral into chaos after a shocking event, revealing hidden tensions, obsessions, and moral ambiguities.

Review:
A compelling read but deeply unsettling. The book opens with a horrific act that immediately pulls you in, keeping the tension high throughout. However, the ending felt a bit too abrupt to fully satisfy.

A graphic featuring the hashtag #KCACOUKBookMAL2026, indicating Book 10, titled 'Lullaby' by Leรฏla Slimani, with 3.5 stars rating. It includes a colourful crochet square in various shades and the book cover showing a baby in a light blue outfit.

Synopsis:
The Intruder by Freida McFadden follows a suspenseful story told across dual timelines, centering on secrets, unexpected visitors, and the consequences of past actions. The narrative weaves together past and present to gradually reveal the truth behind the intruderโ€™s motives.

Review:
A fast-paced Freida McFadden read that I really enjoyed. The dual timelines kept things interesting, and the twists were fun, even if some were a bit predictable. Not edge-of-your-seat suspense, but definitely an enjoyable and engaging read.

Graphic promoting '#KCACOUKBookMAL2026' featuring Book 11, 'The Intruder' by Frieda McFadden. Includes a crochet square in colours of red, black, and blue, and the book cover showing the title and author's name.

Book 12: Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeny

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeny follows a man whose seemingly perfect life begins to unravel after a shocking event. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of a remote island, the story explores isolation, secrets, and the tensions that simmer beneath the surface. As relationships are tested and hidden truths emerge, the novel delves into themes of identity, deception, and the fine line between appearances and reality.

Review: I really enjoyed this one. The remote island setting created a wonderfully tense, atmospheric backdrop throughout. The story kept me engaged, and I loved the twist at the end, it was cleverly done. Overall, a compelling read.

Pattern Re-release| Retro Gamer Cushion

Hi folks! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m really excited to share that one of my older designs has had a little refresh and is now back again – the Retro Gamer Cushion!

A comfortable sofa with two decorative pillows, one featuring a green pixelated video game character design. A wooden tray holds a cup of espresso and a bowl of chips, alongside a black gaming controller.

A Nostalgic Crochet Project

Originally published in Simply Crochet Magazine, this fun design was inspired by the classic arcade game Space Invaders, one of the earliest video games released back in 1978 and widely considered a pioneer of modern gaming. Even though the game was created before I was born, I definitely remember playing it as a child – usually on an old arcade machine somewhere like a caravan park or seaside arcade.

That retro gaming aesthetic has always been fun and colourful, so I wanted to capture that nostalgic feel in crochet form, and I thought corner to corner technique would be ideal. The result is a bright and playful cushion cover featuring a pixel-style alien motif that any gaming fan will instantly recognise. Whether itโ€™s for a gamerโ€™s bedroom, a cosy corner of the sofa, or a quirky handmade gift, itโ€™s a really fun make.

Pin for Later:

Itโ€™s a great project if you enjoy colourwork and want something a little different from traditional crochet home dรฉcor. My version now has a home in my teenage daughterโ€™s room, as sheโ€™s a big fan of gaming and loved the retro design. ๐ŸŽฎ

New Crochet Pattern | Snowman Chocolate Orange Cozy

Hey there, crochet friends! ๐ŸŽ„

Winter is truly here and Iโ€™ve been wrapped up in cosy yarny goodness, dreaming up seasonal makes to bring extra cheer to your festive gifting โ€” and today Iโ€™m thrilled to introduce a sweet and snuggly little project: the Snowman Chocolate Orange Cosy! ๐ŸŠโ˜ƒ๏ธ You may notice that I use both cosy and cozy throughout this post – thatโ€™s simply because people prefer different spellings, and I want everyone to feel at home here.

Pin for Later:

A cozy crocheted snowman with a red scarf and black hat sits next to a chocolate orange wrapped in green foil, placed on a wooden slice with evergreen accents in the background.

This jolly fellow is the perfect way to dress up a chocolate orange (or even an apple!), making an adorable stocking filler, teacher gift, or table decoration this holiday season. I’ve made several of these to give as gifts over the years but I’ve only just got around to writing it up – but just in time for some last minute gift making!

๐ŸŽ Why Youโ€™ll Love Him

Isnโ€™t he just the cutest? I adore how this snowman strikes a balance between whimsical and wonderfully practical โ€” heโ€™s small, quick to hook up, and instantly adds festive charm wherever he goes. Under the tree, tied to a present, or on a winter dessert tableโ€ฆ heโ€™s sure to bring a smile. โ˜บ๏ธ

This cosy works up in amigurumi-style crochet which gives him a nice snuggly fit around your chocolate orange (and keeps the sweet treat nice and secure!).

Skill Level: Beginnerโ€“Intermediate – if youโ€™re comfortable working in the round and adding a few embellishments like eyes, scarf, and hat, then youโ€™re good to go!

New Crochet Pattern | Noel Nibbles Tree Ornament

Hey there, crochet friends! The count down for Christmas is on for us crocheters so Iโ€™m absolutely wrapped up with excitement to introduce my newest design – meet Noel Nibbles, the tiniest, most festive mouse in town! With his rosy cheeks, twinkling eyes, and a perfectly perched Santa hat, this charming little ornament is ready to bring a touch of handmade magic to your Christmas tree.

Pin for Later:

Crocheted ornament featuring a cute festive mouse named Noel Nibbles, adorned with a red Santa hat and pink ears, hanging from a pine tree.

This tiny Christmas mouse brings heaps of festive charm in a small package. Whether heโ€™s peeking out from the branches of your tree, perched atop a wrapped gift, or adding a dash of cheer to your holiday mantle, this miniature ornament sprinkles handmade magic wherever he goes.

Noel is a lovely quick make, he came together for me over just a couple of cosy evenings, and I think youโ€™ll find he works up surprisingly fast for such a detailed little character. Iโ€™d say he sits at an intermediate skill level, simply because youโ€™ll want to be comfortable with amigurumi-style crochet, shaping, and working in the round to get his tiny features just right. And if youโ€™d like to play with size, heโ€™s wonderfully flexible: use a thicker yarn and larger hook to create a slightly bigger, more huggable mouse, or switch to finer yarn and a smaller hook if you want an even tinier version to tuck into your tree.

A crocheted Christmas mouse ornament with rosy cheeks and a red Santa hat, being held by a hand.

For Noel Nibbles, I used Scheepjes Catona, which is one of my absolute favourite yarns to work with. Itโ€™s a lovely 100% cotton, a 4-ply that comes in 10g, 25g or 50g balls (138 yards / 126 metres), and it gives such beautiful stitch definition on small amigurumi makes. I paired it with a 3 mm hook (the closest US size is D/3), which helped keep him neat, compact, and full of character. His finished size is approximately 7.5 cm [2.9โ€] high.

The only other things you would need for Noel is;

Pattern Re-Release | Patchwork Braid Pillow

Iโ€™m so excited to re-introduce you with a design that I made 4 years ago now – the Patchwork Braid Pillow! Whether youโ€™re sprucing up a favourite armchair or adding a finishing touch to your sofa, this cushion cover is all about texture, charm, and that handmade feel.

Pin for Later:

A light green crochet pillow with a textured patchwork braid design, displayed on a beige couch.

Originally published in Simply Crochet, Issue 117 as the Cabled Cushion, this design has reclaimed its full title, the Patchwork Braid Pillow, because the name captures both the braided stitchwork and the patchwork-inspired block play that define the piece.

This crocheted cushion cover combines braided stitches and patchwork-style twisted blocks for a look thatโ€™s both timeless and on-trend. Swap in soft neutrals for a calm, cosy vibe, or go bold with contrasting brights – either way, youโ€™ll end up with a statement piece thatโ€™s uniquely yours.

A textured green crochet pillow with a braided stitch pattern, featuring wooden buttons, resting on a neutral-colored sofa.

๐Ÿงถ Why I Love This Design

  • Room to Customize – Want it square or rectangular? Bigger or smaller? All one side or both? The pattern lets you adapt.
  • Texture & Depth – The braided crochet stitches bring a sculptural 3D effect, catching light and shadow in a way flat crochet panels just canโ€™t.
  • Colour Play – The patchwork-style shifts give you freedom to mix and match โ€” use leftovers, go tonal, or make it bold.
  • Function & Form – Itโ€™s not just pretty โ€” itโ€™s built to last. The stitches are sturdy and the structure holds up well to use and gives real cushion-y comfort.

I made the Patchwork Braid Pillow with 6 balls of Cygnet Chunky yarn and a 5.5 mm (US size I) hook hook, in Willow (shade 515), which is a sort of greyish-greeny sage type shade thatโ€™s just so pretty. Then the only other things you’ll need are a 1 x 50 x 50cm / 20โ€ณ x 20โ€ณ cushion inner6 x 3cm wooden buttons and some stitch markers.

Pattern Re-Release | Perfectly Plaid Basket

Hey there, crochet friends! Iโ€™m so excited to re-introduce the Perfectly Plaid Basket to you. The perfect way to add instant charm and elegance to your living room – with a cosy, colour-worked creation.

Pin for Later:

The Perfectly Plaid Basket was originally featured in the October 2021 issue of I Like Crochet magazine as a way to help keep your home feeling snug and stylish.

This classic crochet basket features bold buffalo plaid and sleek leather handles, making it as stylish as it is practical. Whether youโ€™re corralling washcloths on the bathroom counter, stashing yarn by your favourite chair, or filling it with pinecones for a rustic centrepiece, this basket brings cosy lodge vibes to any space.

ยฉ I Like Crochet 2021

The design itself is a simple combination of stitches, however I wanted to play around with the traditional buffalo plaid โ€˜squaresโ€™ design. I still wanted it to be recognisable as โ€˜plaidโ€™ but I wanted the design to by more inspired by than directly copied. So I decided to go with repeating rectangles that I would create by colour changing as I worked.

This basket is made by holding two strands of Rico Design Creative Cotton Aran yarn together, with a 5.5 mm (US size I) hook, creating a sturdy, durable fabric, and is worked in continuous rounds. The only tricky part is managing multiple colours at once, but once you find your rhythm, it all comes together beautifully.

Bright Burst Baskets โ€“ Issue 163 Simplyโ€ฏCrochet

In issueโ€ฏ163 of Simply Crochet Iโ€™m delighted to share my Bright Burst Baskets โ€” a duo of cheerful, sturdy baskets. Letโ€™s talk about crochet storage for a moment. Thereโ€™s something incredibly satisfying about making something thatโ€™s both beautiful and useful โ€” and thatโ€™s exactly what these Bright Burst Baskets are all about.

Pin for later:

A pair of colourful, crocheted baskets with leather handles on a white step stool, surrounded by a plant and various items.
ยฉ Our Media Ltd 2025 – Issue 163

Theyโ€™re a great medium sized basket; Iโ€™ve got one in the bathroom keeping toiletries together, and a another by my crochet corner holding my current WIPs and a few stray balls of yarn. Honestly, once you start using crochet baskets, youโ€™ll want one in every room – they just make keeping things tidy feel a little bit nicer.

But beyond practicality, thereโ€™s the joy of making something lovely that brightens a room. Handmade storage adds that pop of colour, that soft texture you just donโ€™t get with plastic tubs or baskets from the high street. Whether you go for soft pastels or rainbow brights, theyโ€™re an easy way to lift a shelf, desk, or bedside table.

ยฉ Our Media Ltd 2025 – Issue 163

And hereโ€™s the bonus: they make brilliant gifts. Pop a little candle, hand cream, or some cosy socks inside one of these baskets, and youโ€™ve got yourself a ready-made present that feels both thoughtful and functional. Itโ€™s like wrapping a gift in a gift โ€” and who doesnโ€™t love that?

What you need for the pattern

I used Cygnet Cotton DK 100% natural cotton [100g / 200m] which is available in a wide palette of bright rainbow and pastel shades, perfect for mixing and matching multiple colours in one project. I opted for seven contrasting colours per basket but you could use as little as two or three. The pattern is very adaptable though you could pair colours creatively think ombre fades, sunburst contrasts, or bold block stripes, I think they could all look fantastic.

This DK cotton delivers sturdy stitch definition and just the right structure for home accessories like baskets, then the only other things you need for Bright Burst Baskets are:

So if youโ€™ve been thinking about trying your hand at crochet storage, this is your sign. Bright, bold, and built to be used, these baskets are a total win.

Bookish Stitches: Aprilโ€™s Book Blanket Progress

April has been a quieter month for reading, which is totally fineโ€”Iโ€™ve read so much earlier in the year that I’m sure it will all balance out in the end! Iโ€™m still loving the process of combining two of my favourite thingsโ€”books and crochetโ€”in my 2025 Crochet Book Blanket project. Each square represents a book Iโ€™ve read, and even with fewer additions this month, I feel that the squares for the blanket are coming together beautifully.

A collage featuring book covers for 'The Clan of the Cave Bear', 'The Maid', 'Bright Young Women', 'The Valley of Horses', 'The Mammoth Hunters', and 'Day One'. Surrounding the book covers are colorful crochet squares that represent each book, along with a crocheted blanket and yarn, celebrating the Book Blanket Challenge for April 2025.

This month, Iโ€™ve picked up some new-to-me reads, but I also felt drawn to revisit a few favourites Iโ€™ve read in the pastโ€”books I wanted to include in the blanket because theyโ€™ve meant so much to me over the years. Iโ€™ve been thoroughly enjoying the re-reads; thereโ€™s something so comforting about slipping back into a story you know so well.

The Vision for the Book Afghan

To maintain cohesion, Iโ€™ve used the same block pattern for the entire afghan (grab the free pattern here), working with yarn from my stash and selecting colours that reflect the bookโ€™s cover design. The ultimate goal? A warm, meaningful blanket that doubles as a literary keepsake.

Hereโ€™s what I accomplished in April:

  • Total Books Read: and Squares Completed: 6 books read / 12 squares made

April Reads and Squares

Book 21: The Maid by Nina Prose

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: The Maid follows Molly Gray, a socially awkward but endearing hotel maid who takes pride in keeping everything perfectly clean and in order. Her routine life is upended when she discovers a wealthy guest dead in his room, and her unusual demeanour quickly makes her the prime suspect in the investigation. As Molly tries to clear her name, she uncovers unexpected secrets โ€”and learns more about friendship, trust, and herself along the way. Really enjoyed this charming and cleverly written mystery – I’ll be certainly looking to read the sequel.

Book 22: The Clan of the Cave Bear (Earth’s Children #1) by Jean M. Auel

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: The Clan of the Cave Bear is a prehistoric fiction classic that follows Ayla, a young Cro-Magnon girl who is orphaned and taken in by a group of Neanderthals known as the Clan. As she grows up among them, her intelligence, independence, and differences set her apart. This book is the beginning of a sweeping saga that blends survival, early human history, and emotional depth. It was one of the first fantasy series I got into when I was younger, and I’ve returned to it many times over the yearsโ€”it never fails to draw me back in.

Book 23: The Valley of Horses (Earth’s Children #2) by Jean M. Auel

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: With the 2nd Earth’s Children series we continue with Aylaโ€™s journey as she sets out alone after being cast out from the Clan. Surviving in the harsh wilderness, she discovers a hidden valley where she forms incredible bonds with animalsโ€”including a horse and a cave lionโ€”and begins to forge her own path. This book also introduces Jondalar, setting the stage for a powerful connection that will shape the rest of the series. Of all the books in the Earth’s Children series, this one is one of my absolute favourites!

Book 24: The Mammoth Hunters (Earth’s Children #3) by Jean M. Auel

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: The next book of the series follows Ayla and Jondalar as they leave the Valley and find shelter with the Mamutoi, a tribe of mammoth hunters. As Ayla begins to form bonds with the groupโ€”and catches the attention of another manโ€”tensions rise, testing her relationship with Jondalar and her place in this new world. Full of rich cultural detail, emotional depth, and dramatic twists, this book is a key part of Aylaโ€™s journey. Iโ€™m really enjoying re-reading these booksโ€”they’re just as captivating now as they were the first time around.

Graphic featuring a crocheted square and the book cover for 'The Mammoth Hunters' by Jean M. Auel, labeled as Book 24 with a star rating.

Book 25: Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll

My Rating: โญโญโญโญ 4 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: Bright Young Women is a gripping reimagining of the Ted Bundy murders, told from the perspective of the women affected by his crimes. When a brutal attack shatters a Florida sorority house, its president, Pamela, joins forces with Tina, a woman whose friend disappeared under similar circumstances. Together, they seek justice and reclaim the narrative from the killer (which I really liked), in a powerful story about the strength of women.

Book 26: Day One by Abigail Dean

My Rating: โญโญโญ 3 stars (out of 5)

Synopsis: Day One is a psychological thriller set in the idyllic Lake District town of Stonesmere. The story unfolds around a tragic school shooting during a primary school play, leaving the community devastated. At the heart of the narrative is the daughter of a teacher who dies heroically trying to protect her pupils. As the town grapples with grief, conspiracy theorists begin to question the events of that tragic day.

New Crochet Pattern | Diamond Daydream Baby Blanket

If you’re looking for a unique baby shower gift, look no further than my Diamond Daydream Baby Blanket. This delightful design showcases an elegant blocky stripe pattern that offers a fresh, modern twist on a classic filet crochet technique

Pin for Later:

Colleage of a crochet baby blanket featuring a diamond pattern, paired with soft yarn and a teddy bear, presented on a cosy sofa.

Hereโ€™s a quick rundown of what youโ€™ll need for the Diamond Daydream Filet Crochet Baby Blanket:

  • Your choice of yarn (I recommend soft, baby-friendly yarns like DK weight or lighter). I used Paintbox Special DK (Light Worsted), a wonderfully soft and, most importantly, machine-washable 100% acrylic yarnโ€”ideal for baby blankets. Each 100g ball contains 276m (302yds) of yarn, giving you plenty to work with, making it a perfect choice for creating cosy blankets.
  • A suitable crochet hook, I used a 4mm (US size G/8)
  • Some stitch markers to help track your filet crochet as you work (optional but useful!)
  • A comfortable space to enjoy the crochet process, and some time to dream of the lovely bundle of joy who will receive this masterpiece!
A close-up view of the Diamond Daydream Baby Blanket in progress, showcasing soft yarns in light grey and white, along with a crochet hook and a decorative plant in the background.

Iโ€™ve created my blanket using two soft, complementary colours (Paper White 100 and Stormy Grey 104) to make the most of the blocky striped effect, but the possibilities are endless! Imagine how a pastel rainbow of five gentle shades would lookโ€”so dreamy, right? Whether you go for one colour or multiple, this blanket will make a statement, no matter the hue.

I created this pattern with fellow filet crochet lovers in mind (myself included!), featuring an easy-to-follow design thatโ€™s both enjoyable and relaxing to work on. Itโ€™s the perfect project to keep your hands busy while crafting something truly special. However if this is the first filet project you are attempting, or you’d like a refresher, then you might find my blog post Top Tips for Filet Crochetuseful.

A soft teddy bear wrapped in a crocheted baby blanket featuring elegant blocky stripes in light grey and white.

The pattern is very beginner-friendlyโ€”if you’re familiar with basic crochet stitches (chains and trebles / US double crochet), you should have no trouble following along and creating a blanket you’ll be proud of! In the pattern I’ve included both the written instructions and a helpful chart to guide you through the process.
